My scraps are outgrowing their home, so out of the tubs and into these bags. I love the bags, you can see thru them, they have a handle and comes in diffrent sizes. They are also reasonable in cost too. A win-win!

luvTooQuilt 02-17-2012 09:41 PM

They are awesome !!!

annies-best 02-17-2012 09:42 PM

earthwalker 02-17-2012 09:42 PM

mighty 02-17-2012 10:08 PM

MaryMo 02-18-2012 02:42 AM

I use them all the time for my fabrics .... I can see what's in there and can get to it pretty easily.

PurpleBecca 02-18-2012 02:48 AM

Very clever and useful.

Lorraine Simon 02-18-2012 03:01 AM

thanks for sharing.
I hadn't seen these bags before now.
Wow I can surely use them for many things. I will be on the look out.

Rosewood9 02-18-2012 03:43 AM

I didn't now they made these, thanks for sharing!

gsbuffalo 02-18-2012 03:46 AM

I have been saving and using the plastic container from like the produce and bakery. clean them out then cut up different sizes, label and they stack nice. when I am ready for scrappy I just get the container out and go to town sewing.

Tweety2911 02-18-2012 05:12 AM

Haven't seen those in the store yet. Will have to re-look!

Lori S 02-18-2012 06:02 AM

I love them ... So many uses! For some things I prefer them over tubs, as they can colaspe and expand.

QuiltnNan 02-18-2012 06:03 AM

great tip, thanks. i still dig through tubs for my scraps

lfstamper 02-18-2012 06:19 AM

I love these too!

Linnie 02-18-2012 06:27 AM

pastimesquiltdesign 02-18-2012 06:38 AM

Happy Linda 02-18-2012 06:47 AM

Thanks. I need to get some.

Maureen 02-18-2012 07:05 AM

I use zip locks a lot but have never seen the ones with the handles. I like the 2 gallon ones I buy in Walmart. I try to put each project Im working on in one of them so I can pick one up when I go to Sit and Sew and everything is in one place.

patsynel 02-18-2012 07:56 AM

Thanks for a good idea. I appreciate the picture of the box as I now know what to look for.

Divokittysmom 02-18-2012 09:03 AM

What did we do before ziplocs!! Great invention!!

Quilted Dogs 02-18-2012 09:32 AM

Thanks for sharing, did not know about these and with handles, wow can use them for a lot of things, even Xmas stuff, thanks so much

ChildoftheUniverse 02-18-2012 09:47 AM

Got them... use them... love them.

bluteddi 02-18-2012 09:50 AM

I have used them for many years... they are getting easier to find... I store everything from fabric to projects to clothes in them.... but my best find use is, I store my embroidery head/hoop ( I have a combo machine) in one when not in use.. itis the perfect size and keeps everything dust free

happymrs 02-18-2012 10:00 AM

Hmm, I have some of these, may be a good place for my scraps too! Great idea, thanks for sharing!

yngldy 02-18-2012 10:38 AM

I use the giant one from $tree, flip it over and cover my machine. It still can get air from the bottom since I don't zip it shut and it keeps the dust and other junk from landing on my machine when not in use.

I can get the XL and XXL sizes locally but they also make an L size which I saw on F and Porter. I orderd 2 boxes from Amazon.com as I could not find the L size locally. They were perfect for what I
had in mind. I use the XL and XXL ones too.

QandE2010 02-18-2012 11:10 AM

I often times wonder how we ever survived without ziplock bags. They are good for everything imaginable. Thanks for sharing.

sassey 02-18-2012 01:26 PM

I love zip loc bags did you know you can squeeze the air out of them by hand and get even more in them and they don't usually loose there seal like the vacumn bags do

i bought a ton of the dollar tree bags. they are great for project bags.

toadmomma 02-18-2012 03:28 PM

I love the larger ones, put my want to do projects in them, fabric, pattern etc. tape a list on the front whats inside and things i still need to get for it. Also for ufos they go in with a list of what still needs to be done, or what it is waiting for (usually me), so it is all in one place, I then can select which one has less to do or if i have lots of time pick one that has more to do. And they are getting done.

pattypurple 02-18-2012 03:54 PM

I attached a dowel rod under one of the shelves in my sewing room. Hung these bags from shower curtain hooks on the rod. My scraps are sorted by color into the bags

Sandee 02-18-2012 05:12 PM

Now I'm thinking maybe I should do that, too. I have all my fabric in the large ones & scraps in shoe boxes-which I don't like. I think I'll do this tomorrow!!

BSKTLOFR-QUILTER 02-18-2012 05:19 PM

I use the plastic produce contains which you can see thru. However I'm going to check out the Dollar tree to see if I can't pick up those large bags, too. Thanks for that tip annie's=best.

nannyrick 02-18-2012 05:32 PM

QuiltnLady1 02-18-2012 05:35 PM

I have these and use them for kids toys -- probably need to get more to use for fabric. Thanks for the great idea!

karen924 02-18-2012 05:37 PM

My girlfriend gifted me with a couple of these. I actually fit a few bolts in them. LOVE 'em.
