I love it when people quilt for fun, and enjoyment of just being creative without worrying about rules and "judging". Bless you my friend for you have saved us all from ridicule. You Made it fun. I too, have the books of samples, have cut away the paper and just started sewing. What a freeing experience. I didn't pin, I didn't measure, but I had a blast and made some kooky placemats and a runner. Love putting them on the table. "Who cares if hespills" Toss in the wash. and if they fall apart, so what- the project only cost me time and a great memory was made.Pegeth

I am not a fan of the quilt police. I read a book called " it is ok to sit on my quilt". I would suggest the quilt police read it.

Hey gal, anytime you want to "mess up a quilt" for me - go at it!!! I love it!!! My kind of quilt! It's one thing to want it for show - it's another thing to use as a utility quilt - warmth in the evening setting out - go to the beach! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
