Oh, I wish I could design like that! It was available as a BOM but I found it for 1/2 the price where I could get it all at once! It a Marti Michell kit called "American Beauty" I have several other post with pics under "Guilt Quilt"

Great fabrics that fit the pattern or the other way around. Lovely quilt!

re: quilting ties - I use the length of my index finger up to the first knuckle for my measure to cut after I have tied them.
I figure back in the day (another century) they did not have all our tools. When I made clothing for my daughter (She is now 50.) I used my little finger as a measure between hemming stitches. This gave an evenness to the hems. For adult hems I use my thumb width.

How cool! Appreciate the tip on measuring the ties! I see a few evenings spent replacing the ties starting tonight! A few were left longer and they really look better - washed up well, too.
