Very happy with the Dream - Orient batting I chose! And like that it's tied (will have to replace some ties with longer ones) feels so soft.

'scuse my brag, but I really like this "double-blanket" stitch that I used to enable me to machine stitch the back, too.

Washed up wonderfully without one pucker and I hadn't prewashed the fabric, batting or backing muslin!

Anyway, Happy Dance & Cozy Sleep.

    pardon laundry!

There's something about tie quilts that's just so... comforting?? I really like them and that one is beautiful! I really like the bigger blocks how you did them - was that a pattern, or did you come up with it yourself?

Oh, I wish I could design like that! It was available as a BOM but I found it for 1/2 the price where I could get it all at once! It a Marti Michell kit called "American Beauty" I have several other post with pics under "Guilt Quilt"

    Thanks for your comments, everybody!

Great fabrics that fit the pattern or the other way around. Lovely quilt!

re: quilting ties - I use the length of my index finger up to the first knuckle for my measure to cut after I have tied them.
I figure back in the day (another century) they did not have all our tools. When I made clothing for my daughter (She is now 50.) I used my little finger as a measure between hemming stitches. This gave an evenness to the hems. For adult hems I use my thumb width.

    Love your quilt.

How cool! Appreciate the tip on measuring the ties! I see a few evenings spent replacing the ties starting tonight! A few were left longer and they really look better - washed up well, too.
