Hi Again..
I figured while I had out the pictures, I would send some more. This quilt I made for our granddaughter, Kamryn, last winter. She has named the frog Lilly. She has made it clear that Lilly is to never be folded because it will make her sad! She is the light of our lives!

Our sweetheart, Kamryn

That's the cutest frog I've ever seen! Don't blame Kamryn for now wanting her folded. Beautiful work and thanks for sharing.

Wow, that is one very beautiful froggy quilt and cute little girl....no wonder Kamryn doesn't want it folded, neither would I, that NEEDS to be seen by everyone, I love the monkey wrench border and the inner 3D effect one in particular :D

Way too cute!!!! You did a fantastic job on it!!

Marcia 09-11-2008 05:58 AM

What an adorable quilt-your applique is fabulous. The border fabrics really set the quilt off nicely.

Your granddaughter is precious. So glad she loves Lily and is taking such good care of her. Aren't grandkids the greatest????

Thank you all, again, for your encouragement. It is from a pattern that I found in one of my magazines that I took and added borders and my own colors. I gave Kamryn a choice of a butterfly or a "froggie" quilt and she surprised me with the frog! I think the challenge in this one was to make it more for a little girl than a little boy. The border on the outer edge is a snails trail that I adapted to fit.

That is the cutest little quilt!!! Kamryn is a lucky and smart little girl. :D

This quilt is charming. And the little owner is too! I love the pinks to make it girlish, and the border is fantastic. You sure did a nice job.

Wow! Kamryn's a doll & her quilt is terrific! I really like all your borders on it. I keep designing 'Snail Trail' quilts, but haven't made one yet...maybe I'll do a border like yours! :D

It is a really easy border. The only thing is that it can be time consuming. The end results are worth it, though. If you need help, let me know.

So Cute! So is the frog.

Cordelia 09-12-2008 02:22 PM

I think this is double luck. Kamryn is lucky to have you and the quilt you made. And you are lucky to have her. :D Both the quilt and Kamryn are lovely.

Love it, love it, love it! I love frogs and the fabric choices...just so happy and cheery. The snails trail outer border and chevron inner border...is all just gorgeous icing on the wonderful frog. Lilly is such a joyful little frog. Wow! Thanks for sharing and can I say that I'm just a little jealous of Kamryn to own such an amazing treasure. Thanks for posting such a bright and happy quilt.
