I took my nine year old granddaughter to a local shop that had kids summer sewing classes. I have helped her make pillowcases in the past, this was quite a stretch for her. I thought she did a good job.

She did a great job. I think it is a wonderful thing when youngsters learn to sew. It is such a fantastic way to be creative.

What age did you start teaching her to sew? And what did you start with? My 4 yr old grandson likes to sit on my lap and feed the fabric in. Then he takes the pieces and puts them on the design wall.
