Finished this today in time for her birthday party on Saturday, she'll be 10 years old.
I had enough of the backing and binding fabric left for the pillow. I used almost all of 20 FQs, didn't have enough of one color for the pillow case flange, so I used 6 different colors. |

The fabric is Sweet & Sour from Connecting Threads. This uses the 20 FQ set but I didn't use the 4 white fabrics in the set.

Great Pam! Love the colors and fabric. You really did a terrific job, both on piecing and quilting, but then you always do :D Your grandaughter will treasure it I am sure.

Thank you everyone. :D I am so glad that I got it done and it will get the final test today... washing!
I need to find a box to put it in and get the label printed, I almost forgot that part. Connecting threads has coordiinating labels for their collections. It has a purple border and the flowers like the backiing in one corner. I put the message in the center using MS Paint and will print it on a fabric sheet. |
I know that your granddaughter will absolutely love it, and is one lucky girl to have such a talented Gramma! Great job!

Thank you all. It is out of the dryer and it is soft and wrinkly. I got the label printed and I'll hand sew that on tonight in front of the TV.
I don't think I sew any faster than normal, I'm just single and live alone, don't cook, don't pick up after anyone else, etc., so I have a lot of spare time after work. If you want to see FAST... I am trying to make TWO quilts TODAY! A crib size and a small twin. I started out with washed fabric at 9:00 this morning and I have about 40 blocks completed. |
