Grandmas Fan
1 Attachment(s)
I inherited all my SIL's quilting since she is no longer able to quilt. I found this handmade top in her stash. I am going to put a pink border on it with cornerstones and quilt it.
It will make a great quilt for my DGD when she learns her colors. I will repost when (ever) I finish quilting it. |
This is really beautiful. I love all the colors. You are a lucky girl!
That is sooooo pretty. I love all the colors and the gingham checks. I agree with Girlfriend. You are lucky!
This is absolutely adorable, simple and a delight. But a pink border? May I suggest a yellow instead.
what a beautiful top, I've never seen that fan design before. Lucky you.
Wow, what a great top...love the gingham...who woulda thunk??? So glad everyone has different ideas on putting things together!!!
wow! That is so unique and beautiful! The colors are awesome! I think it looks like lots and lots of beautiful sunshines :) and that makes me smile :) I think a pink border will be nice. You certainly inherited a treasure.
That is really cool with all the checks. Congrats.
That is an unusual grandmother's fan. A keeper.

That will be awesome finished what sort of pink ???
The quilt tops that you got from your SIL are so very pretty. What wonderful treasures!
I love it!! How fun to find it in your SIL's stuff. It makes me think I should work harder to finish my projects so my poor daughters don't have to finish them for me...
That is a wonderful quilt. Be sure to show us the finished product. It will be perfect for your granddaughter.
Beautiful, will be so pretty quilted!!!!
That is a very different quilt
Nice |
I love your quilt, it's like a big ray of sunshine
Beautiful. I love gingham.
Wow that is beutiful.
Lovely quilt top, love the checks. The block looks like a drunkard's path with rays on one side. It's not quite grandmother's fan, but I can't find that variation of drunkard's path either. Original to your SIL? Perhaps she could name it drunkard's grandmother, LOL.
OH! I love love this...what a beautiful treasure!!

quite cute
Great looking quilt. I love how they all look like suns! I agree that a yellow border would look good. Your dgd is a lucky girl.
What a lovely quilt! So sad that your sil can't quilt any more.
Very beautiful quilt. I agree with using a yellow for the border, it would tie in with the colors a little better than a pink, but that is only my opinion.
Love the quilt! The colors are wonderful and bright. Inspiration for me to use my scraps and get busy this year.
I love this quilt! It's bright, simple and happy and - maybe most important - unusual enough to be noticed in a crowd! Your DGD will treasure it.
How lovely! I will be looking for the completed one.
