When I made this quilt I was looking for a traditional look to go with the 1930s fabrics. I like Grandma's Flower Garden quilts, and I like making the centers of the flowers, but not so much all the other pieces to bind it all together. So I made just the centers and appliqued them down onto 6-1/2" white squares. The pony blocks are 12" finished blocks. This setting could be used for any appliques that fit on 12" blocks... it could be cats, dogs, or bunnies!

Very beautiful!

Best of both worlds. Good Job!:)

I think I'm addicted to those 1930's repros. I don't even like horses, but I love that quilt!

Very nice! Is this the same as the book about cats and the one with bunnies????
LOVE it!!!
Wonderful quilt!! very creative and cleaver, like the use of the 30's.... but are the flowers actually pieced and then lined up on the sashing? Sorry, I tend to be a very visual person.
Beautiful! I like it as much as the bunnies you showed recently. Both are awesome.
Wow! That is so pretty! What kind of thread do you use for the applique?
I love your quilt! GFG is my favorite pattern, and I love the horses, especially the one on his back. Very nice work!
Love the rolling horse. When my daughters three were over at the farm where I used to live, I would watch her gigantic white mare, rolling in the mud and wonder how could she possibly get back up, but she always managed, and she was not a pretty sight by then either.
I love your horses and the other quilts you have made. I love the bunny quilt you have posted also. Just got through down loading your order form to order Grandma's Bunnies & also the Cat applique book. They are all precious. You are very talented.
