What a wonderful quilt. You did so well on your first quilting! You should have seen my first, re-thinking that... nope, I would not have shown anyone my first. LOL!

Beautiful quilt. I have searched for that pattern and can't find it. Did you add that extra (applique borders and prairie points) or was it in the pattern? Just love it.

Here is the website for the quilt shop where I bought the pattern. The appliqué and prairie points are part of the pattern. I'm not affiliated with the shop in any way. Just saw the one they made for display and loved it.

No the pattern can be obtained from a local quilt shop here of which I have no affiliation to.

When I see someone hand quilted their quilt, I am totally in awe. This time is no different. Great job!

It's gorgeous! As for machine quilting, why not? I'm for finishing a quilt by any means necessary.

I have a quilt top that languished in my Grandmothers home for 40+ years and then in my Mother's home for another 30 years. It was the first quilt I ever worked on - rented time on a long arm and quilted it in about 2.5 hours. Of course, I knew NOTHING about quilting at the time so I did a bang up job. Nonetheless, it looks better on my bed than it ever did in a closet or a drawer!

The back is just as pretty as the front, I would call this a reversible quilt!

Very pretty!!!

Your quilt is just beautiful! Love the addition of Prairie points. I don't think the machine quilting detracted from this quilts beauty in any way...it's your quilt, do what pleases you! :)
