Thanks for telling me. I haven't done much of her stuff and later after I wrote the question and was doing dishes it hit me who EB was. DUH!
I love the ruched flowers. I have some difficulty with them.

DA Mayer 09-05-2008 12:22 PM

I love flowers and I really love yours, can't wait to see it all together.

QuiltinLee 09-05-2008 05:02 PM

Got the 4 baskets that I have left sewn together and the roses cut out and am ready to start sewing them in the morning. Now comes the War of the Roses!

live2teach 09-06-2008 06:30 AM

All of your blocks are gorgeous! I love all of them. Your mom sounds like mine. Anytime I make anything that tickles her fancy she drops "subtle" hints. LOL.

You are really cracking on with this magnificent quilt....I take my hat off to you - its a real work of art, I love the 3D flowers, I probably already said that in a previous post...but I REALLY DO!!!!

Well, the War of the Roses is over!!!!! And I won :D Of course, these suckers took almost 2 full days for me to make just the four (the baskets, leaves and stems were already done).

Never, never, never again!!!

Anyhoo, here they are.

Aggi I made a trapunto queen size quilt for my parent's 50th anniversay and put the date they were married and the anniv.date in the pillow tuck. Now they are gone and I have the quilt on my bed. I really like it.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I was trying to take them on a bed, at night no less, because it's raining cats and dogs here.

This is the quilting - a feathered wreath

It took me almost 18 months to get that thing done. Of course, I quit working on it several times because it was making me crazy. I'll try to get better pictures up over the weekend.

QuiltinLee 12-16-2008 08:52 AM

This thing is going to be an "original" for me. It was an experience I do NOT want to repeat.

The pictures are out of focus, so I will try this weekend (when I have a couple of people at home to hold it up) to get others.

gramadona 12-16-2008 11:44 AM

Oh my gosh!!!! That's an absolutely beautiful quilt! Each one of those baskets of flowers would make a fabulous wallhanging all on it's own. Thank you for sharing.
