Grandson's quilt
 

My DIL is expecting a son in May and so I have ordered this fabric to make him a quilt. Don't have a plan yet, but the creative juices are starting to flow. I'll just be glad when the fabric gets here :)

Wonderful! I hope you plan to buy Hands, Fingers, Thumbs by Al Perkins. Some of the lyrics are ... many more fingers, many more thumbs, many more monkeys drumming on drums. I read that over and over to my kids and then to my grandchildren. We made quite a big to do about it. :)

Is it hard to sew on the minkies? I have never tried but the fabric is beautiful. Have fun making.

I used that kit for my older granson and added a few more rows to make it bigger. I added turquoise and orange minkee to it. Be sure to use a walking foot, and use the basting spray as it says. I have made 10 of these and learned the hardf way how to make it easier. Good luck.

I love those minkee fabrics....are all of them minkee? Did you order them? from where? It will be so great to see what you do with them!!
