I am part of a monthly breakfast club at LQS. We get a new pattern every month along with breakfast and a recipe that coorelates for the month. Every pattern this year uses 2.5 inch strips...the patterns are nice because you can make anything from a placemat...to a queen sized quilt and it gives you the amount of strips for each range of color...Anyway...for January teh quilt's name was Grannie's Granola....It was tedious and I can't say I will want to do it again...but it turned out pretty. I put the last borders on this morning....I am going to try and quilt it on Sunday.

I LOVE it!! I love paisley and this is such a nice pattern and great colors. Where did you buy the fabrics? Where is the pattern available for purchase? Do you mind if I print a copy of your pic for inspiration? Sorry for asking so many ??? but I really like your quilt.

Beautifully done. Nice contrast with the fabric choices. I too love the paisley...just bought a similar pattern from someone on here.

Your club sounds like so much fun...wish there was one in this area.

The line of material is called "gypsy princess" at least the paisley is...the rest of them are not part of the same line...I just grabbed things that I thought looked good. You can't purchase the pattern...it is part of a club thing...but everything is a made from a 2.5 inch strip except the last border...so go ahead and print the picture...you can probably figure it out from that.

jewelps 02-13-2010 07:42 AM

love those colors

Absolutely Beautiful! Those are definitely my colors, how did you know? - how long will it take to quilt? I could send you my address if you decide you don't want it after all. :-D Just kidding :-D

dglvr 02-13-2010 08:38 AM

Ohhhhhhh that is very pretty. I know your in the club but do you get to keep that? Will it be hanging at the Fabric Patch?
I'm thinking coming back for a visit. I hope I can see it.
 I'll PM you and Omak before I come up as a warning. hehe. :-D

Harmony 02-13-2010 08:45 AM

Very interesting pattern! Your fabrics are just fantastic--not a color combination I would have every thought of on my own, but they're perfect together! Great job!

Your choice of colors is outstanding.

Yes, it does look like a tricky design but you pulled it off without a hitch!

(if you ever tire of it, send it my way....... )

Marcia 02-13-2010 09:58 AM

That came out really pretty! Do you pick your own fabrics each month? How are you going to quilt it?

Honey 02-13-2010 10:01 AM

Beautiful quilt! Maybe I will suggest the club idea to our lqs.

JAQ 02-13-2010 10:02 AM

Wow!!!!! Beautiful.

Bobbinwinder 02-13-2010 03:12 PM

Tedious, yes, I think so too...but it is certainly worth the trouble! What a wonderful way to work with two colors in the classic light medium dark combinations...I really like this one...I may have to check my stash for possibilities! Thanks!
