Here is some of my 9 year old grand-daughter's work. She not only cuts and sews the quilts together, she also quilts them herself on my TL18. She donates all of her quilts to various charities including a children's hospice. Our local Cancer Society has auctioned and raffled a few of her quilts.
Did I mention that she started quilting at the age of 5! Call me a proud grandma :-D

She made this one for her teacher. It has a picture of each of her students in the center of each star.

quiltsRfun 01-03-2010 09:32 PM

Wow! You've got a great little quilter there. And very generous as well. I'm sure her quilts are much appreciated. You both should be very proud. Although, now that I think about it, there's really no need to tell a grandmother to be proud is there. LOL

FANTASTIC! This little girl needs to appear on the Ellen Degeneres show. Ellen loves to spotlight "super" kids and I think this is one super, super kid ...... not only because of her talent (great work for a nine year old), but also her generosity in giving her quilts to charity.
