What to do with orphan blocks?
This is part of organizing my smaller space. I incorporated this orphan block and used part of my stash of fabric that I might not use in a quilt. And I doubled it over to use more :) and to do the quilting. You know the white strapping that now comes on heavy packages? I used that to hold the top open. It just fits in the space between the wall and the fridge. |
Nice work. Very creative.

That is such a neat idea!! I used a wine bottle sack which was a souvenier brought to me by my granddaugher from a class trip to D.C. I had no use for it as a wine sack so opened up the bottom and applied elastic.

That turned out really nice! I was just thinking that these bags would be good for my granddaughter to make for Christmas gifts. I'll show her your picture -- you have a winner!
|
very nice love the colours in the block
|
Great idea - and beautiful bag. In addition to holding your bags it also brightens up a space that would just look empty.
|
Terrific idea! Love the creativeness. It looks great. :)
|
Cute idea!

That is perfect for the spot! I used the packing strap for my thread catcher edge by my sewing machine for the same reason. I confiscated mine from the garbage at Walmart. They must think I am a hoarder at Walmart as I ask for my hangers with the little plastic clothespins for hanging my seasonal runners in my closet too.:D

Kool idea. Did you have a pattern? Neat Christmas gifts. BrendaK

Super cute and useful! Way nicer than the plastic bag organizer tube from Ikea or the mess of bags a drawer in my kitchen!
