I just finished working on this wall hanging and I wanted to show it off. I'm so very pleased with how it turned out. This was my first quilting project and everything was done by hand except for the hanging tabs. I'm new to quilting and still learning something with every project. I found a free cross stitch alphabet online but modified or changed most of the pictures for the letters. I used patterns from different books that I had on hand. This was really fun. I really enjoyed embellishing it. I still have some spiders to glue on but it's done and ready to hang. Hope you enjoy it.

I would stitch the buttons on - not glue on your BEAUTIFUL cross stitch wall hanging. Just my thoughts.

Wish I knew how to cross stitch!~I can needlepoint, but have never done this. This is GORGEOUS!!

QuiltnLady1 09-14-2011 05:53 AM

Very cute!! I agree with Dianemarie -- I would not glue the spiders, but stitch them. I used to be able to cross stitch, but no more. I love the look!!

Very nice, and thank you for the idea. I have a Halloween X-st that has been finished for ages, but never framed. Maybe I will make a wall hanging instead!

Very nice. You've done a wonderful job. It will look so great hanging up this Halloween. I also enjoy combining counted cross stitch with my quilting.

I love Halloween. I "over" decorate every year but it's worth it to see the kids when they trick or treat.
