Happy Fall Wall Hanging
2 Attachment(s)
I just finished a UFO from when I first learned to piece quilt blocks. These were hand pieced from templets. Oh boy, am I glad some smart women figured out the rotary cutter and mat! In those days you cut out a templet and used a pencil to draw around it and cut it out eye-balling the quarter inch seam past the line.
This has been in a drawer for some fifteen years or so. I thought it was time for it to see the light of day. I am not sure what I will do with it. But, gosh darn it, I finished it! LOL.... Looking at the pictures, I am not so sure that it didn't need some appliqued fall bounty all around the outside edges and some better quilting. Oh well, it is done. I did sew in some triangle sleeves to the top corners for hanging as I bound it. |
You have had a slow start but it is looking really good. Love the colors and the quilting looks great.

Oh, by the way, this pattern is from piecemakers and was part of a monthly calendar. This one grouped together is called, "Blowin' in the Wind". Just in case someone wants to try their hand at hand piecing. LOL...

There are so many quilt tops sitting in closets (Including mine). I am so glad you finished this, it is very pretty. I hope it helps inspire us to go through our closets and finish ours.

I really like it. Bet it feels good to have it done.
