Happy Fall Wall Hanging

Happy Fall Wall Hanging
I just finished a UFO from when I first learned to piece quilt blocks. These were hand pieced from templets. Oh boy, am I glad some smart women figured out the rotary cutter and mat! In those days you cut out a templet and used a pencil to draw around it and cut it out eye-balling the quarter inch seam past the line.
This has been in a drawer for some fifteen years or so. I thought it was time for it to see the light of day. I am not sure what I will do with it. But, gosh darn it, I finished it! LOL.... Looking at the pictures, I am not so sure that it didn't need some appliqued fall bounty all around the outside edges and some better quilting. Oh well, it is done.
I did sew in some triangle sleeves to the top corners for hanging as I bound it.

Oh, by the way, this pattern is from piecemakers and was part of a monthly calendar. This one grouped together is called, "Blowin' in the Wind". Just in case someone wants to try their hand at hand piecing. LOL...
