I finished this quilt for my youngest granddaughter this week and wanted to post a picture or two. 😄 It's appliquéd, pieced, and hand quilted. My ddil wanted a minky backing so that's what I did. Lol, not sure I want to ever hand quilt on minky again. It behaved okay but was hard to needle.

I just love this quilt. Once again just goes to show the colors of mother nature never fail. These colors are terrific. Looks like a bright sunny zoo. Your hand quilting is super job!

That is just too cute for words. Can't imagine trying to hand quilt Minky unless you do big stitch quilting and even then, not so sure. But you pulled it off admirably. Between the super cute pattern and the super soft Minky backing, I believe that quilt will be DGD's favorite well into her toddler years and it will probably be loved to tatters. It will be THE Binkee, you know the one they drag everywhere and pitch a royal fit when it has to be laundered. LOL

This is precious. I don't know how you hand quilted the Minky! I tried once upon a time to make a quilt using Minky and hated every minute of it. Will not use it again. If I want soft for baby, I use a flannel backing.
