Happy Kaleidoscope
1 Attachment(s)
This one is not finished yet as I haven't decided on whether to add a border. I had fun playing with the kaleidoscope blocks and their settings. The guild I belong to is working on finishing UFO's this year. Need to finish this one soon and move on to all the others!

Great blocks! I think I would do the last sashing in blue and then a larger border in the original fabric if you have enough.
|
Wow! I like it as it is!

Absolutely stunning. The blue sashing makes it really pop and I agree with Tartan, last sashing should be the blue. Border....not sure!

That is gorgeous.

I love it. It is beautiful. How about the same blue for the border?
|
that is really colorful, great job.
|
Oh it is so fun and cheerful. I agree with Tartan about putting the sashing and then another border. It could be the same print or pull out a color you would like to really pop in the quilt like the green for a calmer border.

Beautiful quilt and the blue border would look nice.

Pretty, pretty:) Lots of times people put the original fabric for a border so you can be amazed at how fantastic the kaleidoscopes turned out.

I agree with Tartan. Lovely blocks.
|
I just bought a Spin Art machine to use with fabric and some screen print ink that I found at Michaels for really cheap. I know that's not what you did but your quilt will be my inspiration as I start making <some giant number> of 5" blocks. Love it!!!!!
|
wow wow wow! Yes I would add a border!
|
Very colorful. :) I think a blue border would help finish it off.
|
I think it is awesome

This is one of the most striking kaleidoscope quilts I've seen. The blue sashing is great. Could you use your original fabric is an outer border. Or perhaps, incorporate some of it on the back. I always think it is fun to see the original to see how the maker chose to cut the sections of the pattern. Whatever you choose to do will be great-you have a really stunning quilt!
