I finally finished the T-Shirt Quilt that a gentleman asked me to make for him at my Garage Sale a couple of weeks ago. It came out pretty good. I am just waiting for the label to dry and it will be ready for him to pick up.

The cost of materials was $45, so I will charge him $90 for the completed quilt.

It was a real challenge to do and I think it turned out pretty good...we'll see if he likes it!

That is one fine quilt. He will LOVE it!

needles3thread 06-26-2011 05:47 PM

looks to me like you did a great job. He should be very pleased.

Jan T 06-26-2011 05:57 PM

That is really nice. You should charge him at least $150.00. Your time and talents are worth far more than that, but you can only get people to pay just so much.

LindaM 06-26-2011 05:59 PM

Excellent!

blueangel 06-26-2011 06:09 PM

I agree, I think you should at least charge him 3 X for what you paid for the materials.....

The price was set at a max of $100 before he ever committed. I am pleased and did not feel the pressure to get it done overnight!

I hope to attach a pic of the label, as it is now on the quilt!

Label affixed and quilt ready for pick-up -- tomorrow!
