Good job!

Nanaof4 07-28-2011 05:37 AM

For the life of me I can't see anything ugly here. What a beautiful quilt. Would love to see your partners quilt. I too am getting to like more of Ricky Tims patterns. Guess I'll have to add that to my bucket list.

janiesews 07-28-2011 05:43 AM

It sure became a beauty!!

grannypat7925 07-28-2011 05:53 AM

Good job!

ediedarlene 07-28-2011 05:55 AM

Whatever you may have started with, it certainly didn't turn out "ugly". I like it, and those are not my usual choice of colors but I think it turned out great. What's that saying about a sows ear? Good job to both of you.

bearrynice 07-28-2011 06:18 AM

Great!!! Not ugly anymore!!!
I love Ricky Tims, took two of his seminars. He makes it all look so-o-o simple. But, I have not, as yet, tried to make any. One day soon!!!

Actually, I was going to do this, but did not like the way anything looked on top of it. I am not good a drawing freehand.

Thank you all for the great coments.

MarthaT 07-28-2011 06:45 AM

Could you post a picture of what the other person came up with? I would never know yours was made with rather random fabric choices. The pattern is perfect for those fabrics!

nannya54 07-28-2011 06:53 AM

How interesting! I hadn't seen that pattern before. It's very striking! Hmmm... Great job! Love it!

Linda71 07-28-2011 06:53 AM

Nothing ugly about this.

oma66 07-28-2011 07:26 AM

Certainly can't find anything "ugly" in this quilt - it is lovely.

caspharm 07-28-2011 08:51 AM

It came out wonderful! Definitely lemonade from lemons!

hawaiilove 07-28-2011 08:59 AM

Great job - congratulations - love your quilt !!

Rumbols 07-28-2011 09:10 AM

You did a great job. They aren't ugly any more.

MargeD 07-28-2011 09:11 AM

Where's the ugly fabric? I can't find it as it's a beautiful quilt.

Alondra 07-28-2011 09:55 AM

Ugly? Which one was the ugly one? I don't see any ugly fabrics there, and the end product is really lovely. What a clever way to use the FQs!

cdarts2 07-28-2011 10:09 AM

Wonderful way to turn lemons into lemonade, don't you think? I am impressed at the beautiful results. Great job!

MaggieMeg 07-28-2011 10:27 AM

I like it!

just_the_scraps_m'am 07-28-2011 10:35 AM

i'm amazed you can make something that large out of 4 little FQs...skilled & talented, aren't you?
i must say it is easier to "copy" this way...LOL
thanks, i've seen this before, but it bored me....
i think yours is NICE!

Victoria L 07-28-2011 10:46 AM

I won't see hers until the September guild meeting. Will try to get a picture then.

lindalou 07-28-2011 02:23 PM

How do I get a picture of it?

quilting librarian 07-28-2011 03:37 PM

Lemonade from lemons. :-D

yonnikka 07-28-2011 03:43 PM

I only see three different fabrics. is #4 on the back?

alapetitechaise 07-28-2011 04:18 PM

I had to study awhile too, but I found that two are very similar. Look at the big squares in each of the four corners and you will see each of the fabrics. Isn't that a fascinating quilt?!?!?!

PolkaBabe 07-28-2011 07:20 PM

I like it - may have to try it.

Grandma Peg 07-28-2011 07:55 PM

Looks great to me.

Acutally, the bottom right is a floral and the upper left is a batik in similar colours.

aeble 07-29-2011 07:12 AM

Great job. I've been considering doing something like this for a little while. You've shown me just how great it can be. I should bump it up the to do list.

KLO 07-29-2011 09:56 AM

I have been wanting to do one of these quilts for quite some time. Finally got the book. Hope mine turns out as great as yours did!!!

grammy17 07-29-2011 09:58 AM

Beautiful. I love it. I would never describe any part of it as ugly!

mumzer 07-29-2011 07:00 PM

Very nice. Can't find the ugly one. Which one was it?

katcincinnati 07-30-2011 01:42 PM

I don't think any of the four were ugly to begin with. You just made them even prettier.

Rina 08-01-2011 11:58 AM

Not ugly anymore!!
