I do all my sewing and quilting on my kitchen table. I ALWAYS have a candle lit on my stove. It sits on the very back of the stove top between the two back burners. Being that I have three young kids there is no way I would have one low enough to have a quilt get near. Maybe those kids are good for something other than just getting into everything, they keep my quilts from burning!

Wow, nice save! I can't say I've set a quilt on fire but I have very young children still so candles aren't something I have out anyways. I bet you'll be more careful now though! :)

What could have happened makes me shudder. Thank goodness you have quick reflexes or you might have burnt much more than a section of quilt. OK, I have moved all my candles to the outdoor patio now. I try to be a quick learner.

Wouldnt even know that it had a booboo! Great job!

So that's what really happened to "Frosty"...lol.

Glad you're okay. I knew there was a reason I don't have candles in my room. I use those scented crystals and even they're on a shelf way way up top :)

So glad you caught it early. When I first saw this post, I thought you had started a quilt and hated it so badly, you threw it in the fire. I've thought about that a time or two
myself.
So glad all worked out good and you done a beautiful job saving your quilt.
