Heart String's COMPLETE! and gifted!
4 Attachment(s)
I finally finished Heart String's. I posted pics of it through out the process and even posted a tute on how I made the blocks.
I used Pittsburgh Pam's method of mitering the borders, FIRST TIME! I think they turned out okay. The top is machine pieced. Back is pieced all the same fabric. Quilt is hand quilted. Approx 106 HOURS invested in quilting it! Ran out of the binding fabric which is also the backing fabric. So used about 20" of left over binding from my youngest nephews quilt. The quilt was gifted this past weekend to my eldest nephew for his graduation. Let me know what you think! Kyia |

It's clear that this young man loves the quilt. I just wonder if he truly realizes just what a treasure he has with a HAND QUILTED quilt. Good job!

I really like your color choices and the balance you have worked out through out the quilt. The color blue and the narrowness of the sashing lets the accent rest on the squares. Enjoyable to look at.
|
I think if he doesn't like it ....Send it my way LOL What a great quilt!!!

It's beautiful & he does look appreciative. I never thought I was a string quilt person but I've seen so many nice ones that others have posted that I think I've changed my mind & may need to do one...oh my, add that to the ever growing list :)
