Hearts quilt for my daughter

This is the most recent quilt I finished - back in the fall, but I just joined Quilting Board, so you guys get a picture now. ;) It was for my older daughter's twin bed. Of course, after she used it on her bed for only a few weeks, we ended up changing things around so that both girls are now sharing a full-sized bed. So this is now a large lap quilt at our house!
The colors are what I was already using in their room at the time. The words in the border are the chorus of a hymn we sing at our church. Thanks for looking! |

Hey mmeblue, I love it! It is so cool and of course being hearts adds a big plus to me.I love heart quilts. I was excited when I saw your post after our greeting each other in the new member section. I also saw where you wrote back to me with control/handquilting/backing vs.machine quilting.Dad-nab -it, I never even thought about it. For I do the same as you mentioned about the backing when hand quilting. I blinked and and said oh goody, get to put it off a tad more til I research that situation! LOL! BUT, thank you,seriously for I need to read up on it in order to try get ready to start machine quilting.Soon! It's getting closer. Your work is so good.

Love the hearts, and with a larger lap quilt you can all cuddle under it. Last year I had made a twin size quilt for our DGD, then they later decided to put her in a full size bed. Fortunately, I had made it extra large, so it does fit the full size bed. Phew.
