This is my first attempt at curved piecing. I think there was smoke coming from the seam ripper, but it turned out pretty good. Now to get it quilted.

Beautiful. Would like to try one like it. Does anyone know how long it takes for a broken wrist to heal? I can' do any sewing now. I had surgery a week and a half ago.

wraez 01-19-2013 03:09 PM

Oh so very lovely!

feline fanatic 01-19-2013 03:11 PM

Exquisite! I love it. Is Hellebores in the snow the name of the pattern or the name you gave the quilt? I love a pattern that makes your eye focus on two different focal points like yours does. For your first attempt at curved piecing I'd say you are expert now and no curves will scare you away! Next up, NYBeauty!

lallyann 01-19-2013 03:26 PM

PaperPrincess 01-19-2013 03:28 PM

Just lovely! Here in Michigan it will be a long while till we see hellebores bloom. Till then I can admire your quilt!

All that smoking from the seam ripper definitely paid off; it's perfect! I love it.

busy fingers 01-19-2013 10:55 PM

That is lovely. I think that most of us can relate to steam coming off the ripper at some point.
