Next on the list, for the sister of baby 'Lily' who I made a quilt for last year :-D

I couldn't resist including those cute 3D pinwheels too!

Sandee 03-14-2011 03:23 PM

Very very nice!!! I wanted to make a Hello Kitty quilt for a niece & you have given me the incentive with your very cute quilt!! Be sure to show it again when finished! I can't wait!!!

SEW CUTE!!! I love Hello Kitty and you did a fantastic job bringing her to life on this cute quilt. What did you make hello kitty herself out of to give that fuzzy look to her face? It looks too plush to just be flannel.

CoventryUK 03-14-2011 03:25 PM

Now who's on the Night Shift????? LOL That is looking fab Izy!!

Apart from the black, I use a fine white in the bobbin, so not too bad, easier since I bought myself great pull down under shelve storage boxes...have a look in the background of this picture!

Thanks Patti, I am using black felt for the features, so I was able to leave the whiskers part unsewn so they curl outwards, I wonder how long they will last LOL!

Thanks everyone, you are all so generous with your comments, spurs me on

There has been several quilts made with the 3D pinwheels, but I found a good blog with a free tutorial which gives great instructions!
