Help Choosing Inner Border for Trip Around the World

3 Attachment(s)
Would you ladies mind helping me choose the inner border for my Trip Around the World quilt? It's just about ready for them to be added. Option 2 is a light marbled yellow but is a bit darker than it appears in the photo. Thanks.

I like the green. It is more soothing. The yellows are too bright imho

fatquarters 04-11-2012 08:12 PM

I like the dark yellow and the green. Both are very nice, but I think the light is to washed out.

mighty 04-11-2012 08:16 PM

The green is ok but I really like the bright yellow.

woody1229 04-11-2012 08:52 PM

I like the darker gold for the inner border, and the green for the binding.

Me, too. I think it really adds a spark & brings out the purple better/more.

I agree with this.

jkwynn 04-11-2012 08:59 PM

another vote for the bottom/darker yellow

Terricat 04-11-2012 09:50 PM

What about a purple option? for the inner border and also the binding.

katier825 04-12-2012 12:40 AM

I like the darker yellow, then the green. Very pretty quilt!

sewaholic 04-12-2012 12:43 AM

The gold yellow in the 3rd pic, looks best to me.

Ditto. This was my first thought, then thought that maybe that was too much purple. Then again can you have too much purple, violet? Very pretty quilt look forward to seeing finished quilt. BrendaK

IMHO, the darker yellow works the best. The green is OK too. Repeating the purple would not give enough contrast. I think this will be a very cheerful quilt.

Love the pop of the darker yellow! Keep up the good work.

pgmb 04-12-2012 02:50 AM

the dark yellow /gold makes the outer border stand out more . :o

kateyb 04-12-2012 03:04 AM

They all look nice but my personal preference is the gold. I think it depends on what you want the "feel" of the quilt to be. This is a very pretty quilt.

QuiltnNan 04-12-2012 03:11 AM

i vote for the green

nunnyJo 04-12-2012 03:23 AM

I am partial to green but I think the golden yl. works best. good luck, very nice

Dolphyngyrl 04-12-2012 03:55 AM

I like the yellow and cream, don't care for the green

tweety2 04-12-2012 04:05 AM

I like option #2, it brings every thing out. Love your colors!

I love the green, I also like the dark yellow. Why not use both, one for the binding.

Quilt Novice 04-12-2012 05:16 AM

I vote dark yellow!

ontheriver 04-12-2012 05:23 AM

One more vote for bottom darker yellow.

vickimc 04-12-2012 05:24 AM

I like 1 and 3 but will have to go with 3, it adds a little zap and pow, which I love. looking great. I have a TAW on my bed right now and I love it.

joysewer 04-12-2012 05:32 AM

I like the brighter yellow too. That is going to be a very pretty quilt!!

ShowMama 04-12-2012 05:36 AM

I like the darker yellow in photo #3, but then I'm partial to yellow as it's my favorite color.

cjstewart415 04-12-2012 06:09 AM

I never thought of using the green for the binding. Thanks.

QuiltNama 04-12-2012 06:09 AM

I like the darker yellow...very pretty quilt

cjstewart415 04-12-2012 06:10 AM

I thought this would be to much purple. Thanks.

cjstewart415 04-12-2012 06:13 AM

Thanks, ladies. It looks like it's going to be the darker yellow with the green for the binding.

faykilgore 04-12-2012 06:27 AM

Good choice. That was my vote, too

Agreed. The middle yellow is too washed out. The bright yellow is the prettiest, the green is a good 2nd choice.

I agree. You might want to try both the dark yellow or the green for the binding. Great quilt. It will be beautiful no matter what you do.

4EVERquilt 04-12-2012 07:01 AM

I like the bright yellow.

blondey040300 04-12-2012 07:18 AM

The darker yellow (third pic). Brightens the whole quilt... And love your little kitty paws in the pic :)

teralikleier 04-12-2012 07:21 AM

I think the green is lovely and sets the quilt off then you could bind it in yellow

northern lass 04-12-2012 07:32 AM

Darker yellow for me too!

char634w 04-12-2012 07:50 AM

Hard choice, I like all of them but my very favorite is the yellow.
