#2 also

I prefer #1, and feel that it seems to flow better. Otherwise, the large amount of the busy b&w print competes with the strong red/black. The large, calm gray gives the eye a place to rest.

I like option #1 because that gray fabric is so beautiful! It needs to showcase.

katcox 06-29-2011 07:45 AM

I like one, they grey is pretty but doesn't look nice next to the black.
It was a hard decision, I like them both. But one won.

My eyes "read" them the same way - I'd choose 1.

I like #2.

I like option 2 better.

FERSID 06-29-2011 10:31 AM

I like No. 1

katkat1946 06-29-2011 01:07 PM

What a hard choice - clearly either will work because we all seem pretty equally divided. My 1st choice would be your #1 sample.

MaggieMeg 06-29-2011 02:02 PM

Both pretty, but I like the first one better. It has more movement.

azchrisg 06-29-2011 02:23 PM

I like Option 2:)

buckeyed 06-29-2011 02:24 PM

Option #1

Grandma Peg 06-29-2011 02:30 PM

Like them both.

LaurieLibra 06-29-2011 03:16 PM

option 2

VaNella 06-29-2011 03:17 PM

I'd go with option 2

I like #1.. I like the crispness of the black and white print next to that black.... the grey fabric washes out all the contrast and I'm not sure where to look. I'm a contrast person!! Post pics when you decide... can't wait!!!!

quiltmom04 06-29-2011 06:03 PM

Maybe the photo doesn't show value as much as it does in person, but I think the 2 gray prints are too close in value. Maybe replace the thinner gray strip with white.

Jingle 06-29-2011 06:07 PM

I like #1 the best. Please yourself and you will be happier with it. Great colors.

Pbecker 06-29-2011 07:09 PM

Definitely 2.

Marilynsue 06-29-2011 07:15 PM

You won't go wrong with either choice, but I prefer #1.

4girlsmimi 06-29-2011 07:44 PM

I like the grey squares as the big ones. Just flows better to me.

quiltingcousin 06-30-2011 02:38 AM

I like option 2 as it accents the silvery grey next to the black. Stunning colors will no doubt result in a real winner! Would love to see it when it's done.

Anne T 06-30-2011 07:01 AM

#2 gets my vote.:)

Ripped on Scotch 06-30-2011 07:29 AM

I think i like #1 better

debcavan 06-30-2011 07:31 AM

When i got out of my stubborn as a mule thinking i should ONLY look at those two options i had an epiphany as per usual right as im falling asleep thinking of the responses to my post. I think this is the best solution and i hope you all are in agreeance with me. either im tired or i dunno but i think this may give the right balance, chic, pop, and elegance i was looking for when i chose my material.

Without further adu.... option numero 3!
i took the busier fabrics and put them as the "borders" if you will and made the black and white square the focus.
let me know what yall think!

This is the perfect solution. It's lovely!!
( I don't think every who has posted has read far enough to see this beautiful option!)
