Please consider hand quilting if you decide to get them finished, it would look lovely. Muslin for the backing would fit very well.

Thank you, are there professional quilters for hire? I don't have the experience to do it myself.

If you are just going to fold and store save your time and money.
Lots of people hand quilt for hire, ehcek etsy or google, also email your local guild.

I've seen vintage tops machine quilted, they were lovely. Women started machine quilting quilts as soon as they got their hands on sewing machines. I've seen many in antique stores and museums.
