I can't decide on which way to go. The first block or the second. The runner I believe has three blocks (it is the mystery runner that I am behind on) So I though maybe one in the center and the other one, one on each side. Not sure. Any suggestions. The pattern just calls for the block with all the different colors in the middle. The one with the four oranges together I made up. And if you don't like one of them please for sure let me know!

This is the way the directions call for. Three of these in the runner

This is the one I kinda thought of doing.

I vote for number 2 block

CissyQuilts 10-11-2008 07:24 PM

Both are nice, but I like the first one better. :D

triciasquilts 10-11-2008 07:25 PM

Hard to choose on this one, but I think for a runner, I would pick the 2nd one. But I like both of time.

Marcia 10-11-2008 07:47 PM

I like #2 also.

Barb M 10-11-2008 08:55 PM

Oh they're both gorgeous, but i like #1 the best :)

Moonpi 10-11-2008 10:27 PM

I like the second one best.

tlrnhi 10-11-2008 11:04 PM

Number 2!

FancyFoot 10-12-2008 12:15 AM

#2 for sure

Izy 10-12-2008 12:21 AM

Number 2 is my choice too, it stands out better :D

purplemem 10-12-2008 12:39 AM

I vote #2
It pulls the eye through the block.
I like it a lot.

Mamagus 10-12-2008 02:36 AM

#2

Shadow Dancer 10-12-2008 02:37 AM

Both are very nice, I love the colors. My vote is for number 2. :)

Alaskan lady 10-12-2008 03:56 AM

Love the fall colors. Like both lay outs. Your a winner with either one. thanks for sharing.

DonnaRae 10-12-2008 04:50 AM

Thanks everyone. I like 2 better and my DH likes 1 better. I have 10 for number 2, 2 for number 1 and one nuetual. Hmmmmmm

No-one thinks I could put them on the same runner? Like 2 of 1 on the ends and 2 in the center, or 2 of 2 on the ends and 1 in the center. Or would that really be too much?

pawquilts 10-12-2008 05:00 AM

If it's a runner with about 3-4 blocks, I would choose the first. Both are lovely! :)

Bevanger 10-12-2008 06:03 AM

I love both..... But going with #2..... How big are the little squares? I really like the pattern

Is it possible to lay it out and let us see?

I only have the two so far. I could lay out two more I guess. The squares are two inches. This it the mystery runner we did over in Links. I saw Aggi's block before I caught up.. Hee Hee. Maybe I will put them together. But someone mentioned if it is for a runner to do 1. Maybe 2 ist too bright for a runner?

quilting gal 10-12-2008 06:14 AM

I hate to go against the grain..... but I love number 1. How about do both, three blocks, two one way on the ends and the middlen block can be the opposit.. just a thought. I wonder how would that look?

quilter1962 10-12-2008 06:20 AM

Donnarae

I prefer #2 - good luck with which ever one you decide to choose :D

pocoellie 10-12-2008 06:26 AM

Finally guilting gal. I mentioned that in the begginning and a couple of post ago. I figured no-one liked the idea because no-one commented on it. Now the question is which goes in the middle and which goes on the ends. Hee Hee. LOL. It never ends does it. But because you are on my same mind track what do you think?

Everyone else can chime in too please. You all have been great help!!!!! :D

sewnsewer2 10-12-2008 07:05 AM

I like your thinking of how to place them, one in the middle, & one on both ends. I like the second one tho.

DonnaRae 10-12-2008 07:43 AM

Okay, Because No. 2 is the brighter of the two, I think I am going to put No. 2 on the ends then No. 1 in the middle to break down the brightness yet there will be more of the prettier block ( I think, but DH sez NO.1 is). Sew, off to Sew I go. :D

Oh Shucks, I just envisioned No. 2 in the middle, you know visa versa. I think the only way I am going to decide is to make enough to choose from then do something else with the extra. Like a hot mat or something. I will post more pictures later. Again, Sew off to Sew I go, for real this time.

quilting gal 10-12-2008 07:50 AM

I did go back and read your post, seems the first time around I read the first 2 sentences and then fell in love with the colors. Opps, my bad. Anyways, I would put the orange center on the ends, the mulit-color in the middle, take a pic and post, lets see what it looks like......

Okay but I have to make another orange one. Be back later!

Joan 10-12-2008 08:51 AM

Number 2 gets my vote! Put it in the middle with two number 1s at both end. (I'm assuming there are three blocks...?????)

k9colliedog 10-12-2008 08:53 AM

No I don't think so. I think that 2 of one each end would look great, and not too much at all. We all have different ways of looking don't we.

Mplsgirl 10-12-2008 09:16 AM

How about 2 of #2 (my favorite) and 1 #1 in the center?

quiltwoman 10-12-2008 09:39 AM

I like #1 better, but you could put #2 in the middle surrounded by 2 of #1?? Make sense??

colleen53 10-12-2008 10:51 AM

i say do a reversible,, one on one side,, two on the other,,,and enjoy both !!!

Caroltee 10-12-2008 12:16 PM

lgeorge 10-13-2008 02:09 AM
