I think you just have to lay them all out and have a good think about the borders - I think the blocks "pop" themselves, and you won't want to take anything away from the impact of the blocks - but equally the borders will need to make a statement as well. How is the order of the blocks decided?

They are all numbered and 3 to a row. If you do it like the pattern shows.
You can look at it all at Whims Watercolor Quilts: http://www.whims.cc/rachelsgarden.htm |
How beautiful is that!!!

I like that illustration - the sashings & border look like a very dark green (with a leaf motif?). Something like that really shows up the beautiful colours of the blocks - quite dramatic. I do like the white squares as well, but that's a personal choice.

I love your rachels garden quilt hon, it is just beautifuly planned and colorful. Enjoy your beautiful quilt.
I saw one simular in an old quilt magazine front I have saved to try "someday". You make me want to dig it out and start it now. LOL! |
BEAUTIFUL!!!
Can I have your address? I know you won't send it to me, so I'll just have to travel and get it from you! lol |
No I'm not parting with it. Someday if my daughter wants it now that's a different story. I started cutting out a table runner for her and that's as far as I got . Hope someday I can finish it. Don't know what happen to one page of the pattern though.
Ya wanna fight for it? HA HA you'd win hands down. I'm getting old and sickly.. |
oooooooooooo pretty. :D

Thanks for the link to the BOM...its really pretty all put together! I think I like your pics of the blocks better though. I don't know about the border...I'm not sure I'm thrilled with the dark green and white squares. Well...thats why they make chocolate AND vanilla! Yours is really pretty...I love the blocks!

My Sunflower is done. I guess it's OK. I never really like the shading on the leaves. But it will have to do.
