Ok, so I decided to make this one.
Just a change up for a bit.
It's on the Fatcat site, so if you are wanting it, that's where you can find it.
There's a few mistakes in it, but all in all, it's cute.
If I do it again, which I probably will, I'll make the block bigger.

That is so cute :!:

bearpaw 04-30-2009 03:26 AM

That is too cute! Love the little fish!!

tlrnhi 04-30-2009 03:28 AM

Thanks!

I know with the Japanese Cat,,,the paw up means something. One side means luck or fortune, not sure what the other means.

reneebobby 04-30-2009 03:50 AM

very cute

beachlady 04-30-2009 04:40 AM

I like it. Finally got on fat cat last night and saved lots of patterns I might want to try!!

Tink's Mom 04-30-2009 04:45 AM

Have you named the block Big Boy yet? The fact that the cat takes up the WHOLE block says it all....Nice work Terri, I really like that kind of block.

Toni C 04-30-2009 04:45 AM

Goodness how cute! I want to do a quilt with her patterns but involved with something I HAVE to finish. Why did you say you would have made it bigger?

It says 8 1/2 inch block. That's why it's so small.
Next time the background block will be bigger.

PrettyKitty 04-30-2009 05:14 AM

Ooooh Terri I love him he's so cute!!!!! Nice work!

sandpat 04-30-2009 05:20 AM

Cute cat! Is Big Boy jealous that you spent time with "another" cat??? I didn't know about that Japanese thing..I'll have to ask my neighbor about it.

Sew cute, Terri!
I used the same name for a Kitty quilt I made last Nov for DD and her family in anticipation of the terrible winter they expected - and got - in NY. I'll finish quilting the last border when I get back to CT - leaving Mon - whoopee! I'll post when I finish - if I'm remembering right, 12 kitties and I plan to quilt mice in the blank border.

omak 05-03-2009 06:28 AM

almost ... I am ALMOST tempted to do applique with all your Fatcat.com pictures, the kitty and the chickens.
But, mine would never be as expressive as yours.
I am so glad that y'all are doing all this beautiful work to inspire and entertain us.
Good job!

Mplsgirl 05-03-2009 07:09 AM

Really cute block!

sewbusy 05-03-2009 09:18 AM

very cute Terri I love it

Mousie 05-03-2009 10:56 AM

I've seen these, I really should make my daughter some pillows. She has four in house kitties, and probably going to have six, in about a week.
She rescued a mama kitty with three babies, and i agreed to take the mama. She gave one kitty away, and cried, so she said she is going to keep the others. She would love this, it's so cute. :D

For those of us that are not that active on this site, what is the actual web address where you found this beautiful cat. What are the mistakes in the pattern? This cat would be perfect in a quilt for a cat lover friend of mine. Thank you for sharing, it very adorable.

Blue Bell 05-03-2009 01:52 PM

Adorable, Terri

fatcatpatterns.com is where this cutie came from.

I read all those articles! Thanks for posting them. But I liked the first one the best. Guess I'm a sucker for a happy ending

Aileen 05-03-2009 02:43 PM

Thanks to both of you for your information, sharing of the website and the story of the Japanese cat. I will remember to make the cat waving the hand, Uh.... paw both left and right and then include the story with the quilt, it will add a nice little touch. I will post a picture of the finished quilt before I give it to her, which will be awhile as I babysit my beautiful baby grandchildren while my daughters go to college.

jbsstrawberry 05-03-2009 08:31 PM
