I ordered this pattern and when it came it was so tiny I could hardly see the little pieces. I had to blow it up on a copy machine to the size I thought I could work with. This one block has 118 pieces. WHEW..... There are three other blocks in the pattern, but I'll have to think about it before I attempt this again.
Framed and matted for my sis. Sorry for the glare from the glass and the flash |

Enlarging it was brilliant. It's wonderful as framed art. I'm inspired, but I'm not sure I'd have the patience for that many pieces. I hope your sister knows how lucky she is!

Spectacular! Awesome work!
Wow. That's gorgeous. Way, way beyond anything I could hope to do. :)
It is beautiful, but now you got me scared. I had bought 3 patterns that are a set. 2 have 6 blocks 8X10 and 1 is 10X14. I bought because paper pieceing seems to be the hardest and I wanted to overcome my fear of it. I just counted the easiest and there are 64 pieces and I know each piece has to be stitched on each side. All the others have so much more. I think I will enlarge 500% and learn that way or maybe they will go to future projects. Yours is so great, I don't know if I am ready.
Amazing! I've never thought of framing them....great idea!
What a great idea to enlarge a pattern. You did a wonderful job. it is beautiful.
