they are 3-1/2" hexagons. it's an easy size to work with and ideal when you want to make a large quilt in less than a lifetime. :lol:

It's quilted in the ditch except for the side insets. you can't see it, but i quilted a circle around each motif and then filled in the backgrounds with cross-hatching.
