I just finished this quilt top yesterday and would like to share with you. I got the basic idea from a catalog picture, but then I floundered, unable to figure out how the thing went together, so I just had to "wing" it.
Last spring, I wanted to make a French Braid quilt and, afraid that I could not choose wisely all the fabrics for the 6 different braid runs, I bought 6 pkgs. of Strawberry Fields Bali Pops. I only needed a few strips from each package, so I was left with about a gazillion Bali Pops strips. I still haven't made much of a dent in the leftovers, so I predict more Bali Pops quilt tops in my future. |
I like it..Very pretty.. IF someone finds the pattern online (free) please post it..

That is so pretty! The design is wonderful!

Thank you, all! Yes, it was the Hanging Gardens pattern in Keepsake Quilting catalog that caught my eye. I am always on the lookout for nice patterns in which to use more of the leftover Bali Pops. Being a cheapskate, however, I chose not to pay the $9.00 + s&h and thought I could "do my own thing". I often borrow ideas from catalogs, but the Hanging Gardens construction turned out to be a wee bit mysterious. (I guess it serves me right!)

How pretty!! It looks like sun catchers!
|
How pretty! You did a great job on it too.
|
I absolutely love that quilt. Wish I could see it hanging up for a better view. Maybe when you quilt?

Those are not ALL Bali Pops either. I also have quite a lot of Stonehenge (I think that's the right name) blended in there. |
I forgot to add that you did a great job without the pattern, turned out really pretty.
