I made a McKenna Ryan quilt to put up with our Santa canoe on the mantle for the holidays. It was fun to find some little trees, and tiny cardinals to set with it.

Thanks Gayle! I'm always timid to post anything I make.
Her patterns are fun, once the cutting is over!

Love the canoe/Santa as well as the wall hanging - McKenna Ryan pieces are intricate & I like the detail.

Thanks so much everyone...

Thought I should add that the tiny Christmas stockings, which look ridiculously small, are for the dog's special Christmas morning cookies! Please though, don't think they are deprived, they do also get wrapped gifts and always love opening them on Christmas morning!

Evelynquilts 12-30-2010 03:03 PM

maggie2122 12-30-2010 05:40 PM

Cute.

Julianna 12-30-2010 05:41 PM

How large are the trees and where did you get them?

sueisallaboutquilts 12-30-2010 06:02 PM

Adorable!

AtHomeSewing 12-30-2010 06:04 PM

The trees on the mantle range from 6" tall to 18" and I got them at Ben Franklin Craft store in Monroe, WA. I put the lights in. I don't see the 6" one in the photo though, so what's showing is 12-18".

The tiny cardinals and nest were found at Michaels.

Very pretty! I love McKenna Ryan's patterns but have yet to purchase and make one. I love your wall hanging and it's a perfect backdrop to your lovely mantle decorations.

PWinston 12-30-2010 06:08 PM

Gorgeous. I've always admired her patterns but never felt talented enough to try one. Love your whole mantle and the tiny Cardinals are very cute. Mind if I ask where you found the Cardinals?
