Found this on craigslist the first of the week. Worried all week long somebody would get to it before I had a chance. Went today and this guy had 14 boxes from his grandmother's estate. Most is 40-50's fabric, all good shape, even some blocks handsewn. Most is at least 1 yard, some larger that I could piece for quilt backs. I got all of this for $140. Plan to make scrappy's all winter. Had one box of polyester if anybody is interested in poly PM me.

Yep, cattle dog, one of 3. Dally is the name, making mom crazy is the name of the game. He is a love but he does try my patience at times.

You are a lucky gal. Nothing like an old fashioned scavenge hunt!

Icee laughing at Katie after stealing her toy |
oh, good for you. I started and ran a heeler rescue for 3 years and I had a couple of deaf ones. Heelers are so smart so not hearing is not a big deal for them.
Thanks Katie is actually my Service Dog in Training. She has already gotten the hosptial drill down perfect and had one alert to when I was bitten by a fire ant. My last Service Dog was a Heeler that someone had tossed out in a graveyard at 8weeks old.
If it's not a Heeler, it's just a dog! Ok, back to the stash!!! Waiting for pictures!! |
40's - 50's is a terrific vintage treasure trove.
WOW! I'm ready for the unveiling! Please show us!
You gotta be teasing me, show the stuff please. giggle.
I cannot wait for you to have time to go through those boxes! What a deal! For scrappies the pcs should be fine & should keep you really busy. I am very happy for you.
Can't wait to see it all! Lucky you.
Hurry up and show us what's inside the boxes!! I love estate finds!!
Does this qualify as "Vintage" fabric? There was a sale of some vintage fabric that sold for a bundle on ebay recently. If you end up with some that you want to dispose of I suggest putting it on ebay. You could probably recoup your purchase price and then some. Ann in TN
