I made this quilt for my daughter's HS graduation. . . I just finished it. . . only 6 months late! :) Over a year ago, I asked her what style/color quilt she would like and since she's a teenager, I assumed she would want something bright and "funky". She surprised me by choosing MY favorite style and color palette! Like mother, like daughter I guess! She also surprised me by asking if I could put our house in the center! My husband and I designed the house square and I made a wide variety of 6 inch blocks from several different sources including Farmer's Wife, Teach Yourself Blocks from the Past, and Quilt in a Day Underground Railroad Sampler. Our local LAQ, Suzanne Harris, did a beautiful job with the quilting - she even quilted shingles on the roof!

WOW, your daughter has excellent taste in quilts, and apparently knows what she wants, so I'm sure she will be happy with the quilt, which was just delayed due to unforeseen problems in the manufacturing plant.
