Today I finished this homespun Turning Twenty quilt for a friend's father. He's 80 years old and has always been one of our favorite people. I like to make this simple pattern for gifts, they go together fast.

I like that pattern too. You've made a great quilt for your friend. The colors and plaids are very masculine. I like the quilting design too. Did you do that free motion or with a pantograph?

barnbum 01-05-2010 04:15 PM

How cozy!! :-D

MaryStoaks 01-05-2010 04:26 PM

I quilted it with a simple loop side to side freemotion design on my Tin Lizzie. Quilting only took a couple hours. Easy and fast. :D

Mary, This is really nice don in homespun. Think I like this one better than any of the turning twenty I've seen. I'll have to retink making one of these, and I just passed up getting a turning twenty pattern.

MaryStoaks 01-07-2010 11:37 AM

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I like it so much I'm already making another. You always make me feel good about what I'm doing. THANKS, Mary
