I have finally, after nearly a year of pondering, decided on how to make a quilt using one of Laurel Burch's horse fabrics.
Here are my practice blocks. The 'window' is 6-1/2" (cut) the 'sashes' are (cut) 2", and the dark sash is cut 1-1/2". I have gone over nearly every pieced block known to mankind, using every color of the spectrum, trying to get this one right. This was really a challenge, and now on to finishing the quilt !! Which I will do this winter in AZ while we are on our winter sojourn in the milder climes. |
Ooh! I like it. I'm bookmarking it, because I hope to do an atic windows design one of these days.

Very striking colors. Can't wait to see the finished quilt. Great job.

I've raised horses most my life, so of course, I would love this. Really like your choice of colors.

I have several pieces of her fabrics and too have wondered the best way to show them off. This a great idea. I need to put that on my to do list. Figure out what to do with mine. Good job.

Wish I had that fabric, my dgd is a nut for horses - just as I was at her age.
