I didn't have a pattern...Like so many quilts i've made I start with an idea and keep adding to it till I like the results. The hearts on the pink squares were added last. As you may have noticed, the bottom picture shows it without them. I just took 4" squares, folded and freehand cut the hearts. I used a satin stitch about 1/2" in from the edge and then clipped the edge so it will fray. I'm glad you liked it!!

My sincerest condolences on the loss of your daughter. Funny, how inspiration takes shape to both celebrate the life, joy, and love your daughter had for her granddaughter and that you were able to honor her request to make a special quilt. I believe this joy was meant to happen. sincerely, Valissa Tonik

Your story touched my heart so much. You have such bitter -sweet memories of your daughter's last few months. God bless you and give you grace in years ahead.

Your quilt is awesome, soft, but happy and cheerful. I am sure your great granddaughter will cherish this all her life. It will be even more special to both of you now that you have really gotten to know that special little girl in your daughter's life.
