Houston Texans/ Carpenters Star quilt :-)
 

I was asked to make a Houston Texan themed quilt. It took me a while to settle in on pattern but really happy with how this one came out. Pieced and quilted with Aurifil thread. The applique is was done with a coloring page I found online and just raw edge applique. Quilting done on my Tin Lizzy. Thanks for looking :-)

OH that is beautiful and makes me home sick. I went for a recent walk at a wild life preserve and saw some long horned cattle too (Texas long horns).

I love everything about this quilt: the design, colors and subtle Texas appliques. The quilting, though relatively simple, really adds to the design. Sometimes simple is best.

Thank you all so much :-) I was worried that the quilting would be too simple but I have been intimidated by feathers so straight lines, meandering and pantos are the way to go for me right now. On to next project :-) Happy sewing everyone
