How cute is this panel?

A quilting friend passed this panel along to me, as she'd had it in her stash for a few years and never used it. I thought it would be a great "play quilt" to put into one of the bags I was making for Sadie's Dream for a Cure.
I made a matching pouch to hold some Matchbox construction vehicles... a cement mixer, front loader and a dirt hauler. They can be driven around on the roads of the quilt. Too cute or what?

Wish I could find more panels like this one.

That is so precious. When my son was little he would have spent hours on that quilt. I remember buying all the box cars. :)

Don't know, sonnymarce... I had never seen it before. It had been in my friend's stash for several years probably, before she gave it to me.

Did you try eBay? I found this one by looking for fabric road panels on Yahoo (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Colorful-Cou...item3f46eb0a2c). A lot of these panels seem to be whatever the trend is at the time.

Wonderful quilt and playtime for a little boy to love and enjoy. Thank you for sharing your gift with those who truly need it.

Unfortunately, no. Selvedges were solid royal blue. :(
