What a great masculine quilt! I really like it. I am not creative enough to help with the quilting ideas though. Good luck.

Great Manly quilt! Love the colors. However you quilt it, it will be beautiful!

I've no idea about the quilting but I love the quilt! Great job... GrandPa

Maybe a "X" across the 4patch and leaves in big blocks?

I agree with quilterken. A variegated thread would be great. And the fmq leaf design would look super!

I think a diagonal crosshatch across the four-patches would look great. Beautiful quilt.

There are some wonderful variegated threads out there. I've seen one with blue and brown and beige. Food for thought?
It's a very nice, masculine quilt. Good luck with your decision.

I like catlover's opinion--variegated in blue, brown, beige in a FMQ of leaves.

Thank you, everyone! I am leaning toward an all-over leaf pattern in blue, but am off to look at variegated thread today. BTW, this a free pattern from Robert Kaufman called Boy Scout Quilt.
Thanks again.

Leaves with the brownish gold sounds great to me. SID would be too boring
