MaryStoaks 08-21-2011 05:48 AM

Looks like the dogs match your quilt! You're lucky to have a large area to pin.

dltaylor 08-21-2011 05:49 AM

yes I am. I have to move a table and rug to do this, but it works great. I love the trick I learned about rollling a ping pong ball under all the layers :)

Rebecca VLQ 08-21-2011 05:54 AM

Teee hee hee....that made my morning! I don't pin on the floor anymore, but I SOOOOOO get what you're saying here.

It's a lovely picture. Truly.

What a great photo! I have a cat and he does enjoy adding his weight to anything done on the floor!

Happy Linda 08-21-2011 06:02 AM

That's adorable.

Joan 08-21-2011 06:03 AM

Dogs know something beautiful when they see it!

The best compliment they can make (since they can't talk) is to lay on it!

Your picture made me smile--thanks!

mtnative 08-21-2011 06:05 AM

Lovely quilt and what would we do without our loyal pooches :)

Beautiful quilt and cute helpers. I too would like to know about the ping pong ball.

Barbm 08-21-2011 07:32 AM

yes, inquiring minds want to know. A ping pong ball... hmmmm.... must be better than my idea of sliding the cutting mat underneath so I don't gouge the floor.

LLWinston44 08-21-2011 07:37 AM

Ping pong ball? Cute doggies!!!!

Yes, that's the reason! I don't remember who to give credit to for this, but I read in someones blog to slide a marble under the layers to lift them off the floor. Makes pinning so much easier and saves the floor!
I use a ping pong ball

:D

I agree witth QuiltinLady1...you may be able to move mountains, but you can't move a big dog(s)...my Devil Doggie is only fascinated with the foot controls...lol
