Huband's surprise us sometimes, Huh?
By the way that is a very nice quilt you made for your hubby. Thanks for showing it. And welcome to the board. :-) Thanks ever so much for the sweet comments on my hubby's quilt girls. I found this fabric in a second hand store while making a donation recently. Dodie saw it and told me the fabric is twelve years old or something like that. And ... That she had a pattern for it that she used to teach. She graciously sent it to me. Which I changed because I wanted the heads to show more, the arrows to be on the top and bottom, as well as the sides and I found the grey background fabric at my lqs, windy moon. There is a new series of this wild life fabric out on the market now. I saw it at Ben Franklins. This was what the original pattern looked like.... Dodies pattern. |
your changes make a huge difference in the overall feeling of the finished top. i don't know if this was your intent, but it has a more american indian look to it now. and you're right: the grey is just right.
you've put a lot of thought and work in this top. are you really sure you like him enough to give it to him? |
Awesome quilt. I love the changes you made.
