Great idea!! thanks for the pics of the under mount shelf holding the machine - I'm visual so that really helps! I love the tile too. I see you also use the pipe on the wall to hang your fabric strips on.....hmmm this gives me an idea, maybe a towel rack..... Be sure to post pics of your quilts some day too. I've tried to talk my husband into quilting.....but then I thought about it and changed my mind - he might be a better quilter than me!!! Ahhhh can't let that happen!

Great use of old doors. The tiles are a genius idea!

What a great idea! Creative & recycling, too. I may have to steal this idea. I'm picturing a cutting table made from doors, too.

You did well! It would be nice to have space for two tables that size. My only change would be a office chair on wheels. That folding chair has to be hard on your back

I keep telling my son quilting is like woodworking, only lighter.

Great ideas. My cutting table is two home made saw horses and a piece of plywood with a vinyl cloth over it. Works great!

GREAT RECYCLE USE!! AND GREAT creative thinking. Not many of us have a ton of fancy equipment. I used the box from a piece of Target furniture to fit around both of my machines for a level space for sewing and machine quilting. Used strips of styrofoam underneath for holding their shape. Works just as good as those fancy clear plexiglass ones that cost a fortune. One a 1967 Singer Touch & Sew, the other a floor model, inexpensive Janome. I use my dining room table and an big old real estate office desk, and of course every OTHER part of the house too!!

My husband did the same for me machine

I do most of my quilt piecing on a treadle machine, its not fancy and it sews very well. I only need a straight stitch for making quilt blocks, it works for me.
