Nice quilt! The great thing is you made a first quilt and you want to make a second! Quilting is such a rewarding hobby in so many ways and you are well on your way. Well done!

You should be very proud of your first quilt. It is sure a lot better than mine which I leave hanging in my sewing room to remind me of how far I have come and how much quilting has changed over the years. Great job...what's next?

this quilt is just amazing!!! love the colors too

You have a great attitude. My first quilt was not nearly as good.

Be proud of your Humility quilt! Lol. You are brave in your humility to want to see mistakes --plain and clear to you --(rather than hide them) to learn from. It's so much fun to have that first quilt finished so you can call yourself a Quilter ! Bindings and mitered corners STILL can frazzle me and I've been quilting for five years. I learned the best from Crafty Gemini on YouTube how to do them. Some teachers you just connect with on certain tutorials.
Now that you've got a quilt to snuggle under, celebrate the accomplishment with it and a cup of hot chocolate --and enjoy looking at the snow! |
Another one "hooked" by the quilting bug. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more in the near future.

I think you are too hard on yourself! Your quilt looks great. You chose your fabric well. It is just beautiful. (I will tell you a secret....if you are like most of us, the only things you will see after a quilt is finished are the mistakes. I can point out most of the mistakes on all the quilts I have made. We forget to look at all the places where we didn't make mistakes, and we forget that most people who see the quilt will not even notice any mistakes...)
Welcome to the hobby. It is addictive. I have only been quilting 6 years, and I consider myself a serial quilter. Dina |
Your first quilt is terrific and happy. I love the fabric and pattern you chose. Keep watching tutorials. I really like Leah tutes.
Enjoy the creating and pleasure it brings. We have all been a beginner and we are all still learning too. I have been practicing quilting for 20+ years and my busiest tool is still my seam ripper.:D peace |
