I finished the binding this evening....took all day to hand sew it down. I didn't quilt this one as dense but it is soft and comfy the way it is. It will travel quite a few miles this week as I go home on a business trip and it is gifted to my nephew. He just found out that he is the 2nd stage of remission for CML (leukemia).....hopefully he will move to the 3rd and best stage soon!

I stitched around the outside of the stars and the maze pieces and then did more of a 4 leaf design on the squares and in the borders.

As someone else has already said, this is probably my favorite quilt pattern and I love what you have done with it. The border is wonderful, I'll have to keep that in mind when I do my Hunter's Star. Do you mind sharing what the border is called.

Wishing the best for your nephew. He will be wrapped in love with your quilt while he continues to improve.

Wow !! What a nice job you did. I just love this pattern. One of my all time favorites. To say you struck a cord is putting it mildly. I agree about the border too, it sets the quilt off very well.
